New mural brings vibrancy to Coconut Grove

In line with our commitment to community place-making, this week saw completion of a new, vibrant mural on a TeamHEALTH residential housing complex in Coconut Grove.
TeamHEALTH engaged legendary local Gulumerrdjin (Larrakia) artist Jason Lee for the mural project, with the artwork informed by residents. A consultation session was held with residents to discuss themes, motifs and imagery they would like to see represented, visually, in the work.
Four artwork concepts were developed and residents voted to select the winning design of a magpie goose in flight. Territory Families, Housing and Communities approved the project and final artwork.
The vibrant artwork can be viewed by passersby on Dick Ward Drive - keep an eye out!
